BINGHAM INSURANCE HAILED BY STATE ASSOCIATION (LANSING) - August 21, 2009 Bingham Insurance Services in Charlevoix has received the prestigious Total Quality Agency designation by the Michigan Association of Insurance Agents. Bingham Insurance Services is one of less than 50 agencies to have received this designation in the state of Michigan. To achieve the designation, an insurance agency must complete a nine month, five-step process that includes implementing an action plan that includes automation and technology, customer service, sales and marketing, company relations and financial management. The Michigan Association of Insurance Agents is a statewide trade group that represents approximately 10,000 independent agents and industry employees. BINGHAM INSURANCE A TOP 10 Auto-Owners Insurance recently announced Bingham Insurance Services of Charlevoix as one of the top ten growth agencies for the Company in the Traverse City region for 2008. The agency was recognized at a luncheon meeting at the regional office in Traverse City where they and other recipients were presented with a plaque commemorating their accomplishment. Bingham Insurance Services has represented Auto-Owners since 1983. Ronald Simon, Chairman and CEO of Auto-Owners thanked the agency for their support and their business. December 2008 October 14 2008 Jackie Letts received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Association of Health Underwriters. Tonya Carmoney of the Northern Michigan AHU presented the award to her at the Annual Awards Ceremony, held last month at the Waterfront Conference Center in Traverse City. The award signifies 10 consecutive years of receiving the Leading Producers Round Table Award from the National Association. Jackie was also recognized by Northern Michigan AHU in a tie vote for Most Valuable Member of 2007-2008. June 8 2007 Northern Michigan Association of Health Underwriters 8th Annual Golf Outting As President of the Northern Michigan Association of Health Underwriters, our Health & Life Insurance specialist, Jackie Letts, presented a check for $1,000 to Camp Quality in Boyne City, a camp that helps children with cancer and their families. Another $1,000 check was presented to the Traverse City Free Clinic. The presentations were made at the Association’s annual golf outing, which raises money for area charities. Jackie also recently attended the National Association of Health Underwriters annual convention in Denver. About 1,000 of the Association’s 20,000 members attended the conference, which included a Health Insurance Product Expo, nationally renowned speakers, educational workshops and networking opportunities. Health care is one of the most important issues being debated in both State legislatures and nationally. We feel it is important to be involved at the highest level in order to best represent our customers, as decisions that affect all of us are being made about the future of health care in our country. April 16, 2007 Jackie Letts Qualifies for President’s Council Award Jackie Letts joined our agency January 1st 2007 and specializes in Employee Benefits. In addition to qualifying for the President's Council Award (see attached), Jackie recently attended the National Association of Health Underwriters Capitol Conference in Washington DC. The following is a summary of the Washington DC meeting: Jackie Letts of Bingham Insurance Services, and President of the Northern Michigan Association of Health Underwriters (NMAHU) along with Valerie Cramer of Priority Health, Legislative Chair of NMAHU, recently attended the National Association of Health Underwriters Capitol Conference in Washington DC. This is an annual meeting where association members from across the country gather in Washington to meet one on one with Senators and Congressmen to discuss current and upcoming legislation with regard to the health insurance industry.
